Leaf Blowers pollute more than a Ford pick up truck!
Edmunds ran a scientific test comparing the emissions of a 2 and 4 stroke leaf blower to a Ford pickup and a Fiat 500. It wasn't even close: the leaf blowers created between 14 and 300 times the emissions from carbon monoxide (CO) and non-methane hydrocarbons (NMHC).  Check out the video of the test at an auto research center here.    Maybe an old fashioned rake is a better option after all.
